Hardy Wallace (Winemaker/Proprietor of Dirty & Rowdy) is one of California's most exalted vignerons. He has received praise from the New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Bon Appetite, and many more. GQ even called D&R the number one thing you have to taste in 2018! Unfortunately, the wines are made in tiny quantities. We receive one minuscule shipment per year, and then wait impatiently for the next release.

In this tasting you'll have a rare opportunity to taste all the wines side by side. From orange wine made of Semillon, to unctuous Napa Valley Petite Sirah, we'll run the gamut. We'll discuss the hazards of organic farming in California, as well as their choice to avoid additives during the winemaking process. Don't even think about missing it! This tasting will be run by guest host Erik Mercier.

*Please note this tasting will take place at our Victoria Park location at 1310 - 1st Street SW

Wine is Art: It can convey emotion, history, place, politics, and most importantly, at its best, beauty. Wine's similarities with poetry are many. They can both have rhythm, structure, and a desire to be experienced. They can be demure or jovial, celebratory or retrospective. They're also both perceived and pretentious and challenging to understand.

In this tasting we will pair six diverse wines with six equivalent poems for an evening of synaesthesia. Erik Mercier, proprietor of Juice Imports, will be your reader and sommelier. Let the weirdness begin.
